Outreach Committee
World View
The world and God both have their own perspective on family. The world does not promote its view as much as it degrades God's view. The TV comedy, Modern Family characterizes many things that are totally against God's model for family. Mention of this is not to debate television and its lack of immorality and its constant blaspheming of God's intentions for family, but to set a "backdrop" for the true beauty of God's true definition of family. That is love and support for the family of God. The Book of Timothy in the Bible is very clear in defining how the church should care for its family members. As a Church we want to emphasize this Biblical example of having love for one another.
Outreach Efforts
In addition to the expansion of the evangelistic efforts, the Outreach Committee wishes to lead the efforts to increase additional support for the current family of God, regardless, of their current situation. The Committee cannot determine what individuals are going through based on the often short and friendly greeting exchange during regular meeting time. So we ask that you seek the guidance of the Holy Spirit, in seeking individuals and families that may need extra encouragement from someone within the congregation. As God lays that person on your heart, please contact the committee at the link below with that person's name.
