Music and Worship
Prince Avenue Baptist Church has always been a singing church. We feel that music is our expression to God and a vital part of our worship, along with prayer, mediation, reading of the scripture, giving of the tithes and offerings, listening to the message from God from the pulpit, and responding to his call and direction. Our music seeks to blend the traditional and the modern by singing hymns as well as praise songs. “Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.” Colossians 3:16. We sing praises to God with Joy in our hearts seeking to worship Him. We sing of God, seeking to teach and inspire each other. We feel that the choir is important as a leader in the music and worship of the church. Because we believe this we commit ourselves to regular practice seeking to continually improve our music and trusting the Lord to use our efforts to praise and worship Him.
Choir practice is held each Sunday at 5:00 P.M. The requirements for choir membership are:
A desire to worship the lord with your voice.
A commitment to attend rehearsals and be on time on a regular basis.
